Comments on Inzko's address to the members of the UN Security Council
dated 4.5.2021.
In his latest address to UN Security Council members, High RepresentativeInzko blames only Serbs in Republika Srpska and "elsewhere" (referring to Serbia) for the problems in BiH .
Serbs have the long-standing irrational destructive policy and way of thinking, they talk about " peaceful dissolution", they announced the formation of negotiating teams and, as it could be expected, this development stirred up parties based in the Federation, especially Bosniak parties - Inzko states, and continues:
"As High Representative, I want to be clear: Dayton does not give the right to entities to secede" and highlights in particular the mediation efforts of US Ambassador Eric Nelson regarding Mostar. On that occasion, Inzko neither commented nor disputed the recent Nelson's statement: that Serbs had wanted to return to "retrograde original Dayton", and, denying and contradicting himself at the same time, pointed out that "sanctions are on the table due to the destabilization of the Dayton Peace Agreement .
Supposedly caring for the interests of Serbs, Inzko criticized the Serbs that "borrowed 300 million by selling bonds on the London Stock Exchange, because they did not want to accept the easy solution and reforms proposed by the IMF". However, on that occasion, Inzko failed to convey, that the ultimate conditions of the IMF meant abandoning the Dayton Agreement and the self-abolition of the Republika Srpska.
Obsessed with the negative attitude towards Serbs, even when he mentions the role of the Croatian party HDZ in BiH, Inzko states: "SNSD’s partners HDZ BiH have succeeded in grinding /Federation/ to a halt."
"If such negative trends continue, the question for the international community will soon be: How long can this kind of destructive behaviour be tolerated, and how long can Mr. Dodik and his allies in the RS and elsewhere be regarded as partners?" and continues: "The multiethnic and diverse society that existed prior to the conflict has all but disappeared, while it is becoming more difficult to defend the preservation of multiethnic spaces and resist the creation of mono-ethnic ones." .
However, Inzko is optimistic to conclude: "It is certainly not the case that people cannot live together, this is absolutely not true ..." . Such a conclusion of him was not affected by the statement of the head of the German Christian Social Union (CSU), Horst Seehofer, that "multiculturalism is dead", nor by the statements of German Chancellor Angela Merkel: " The project of multiculturalism has failed. Absolutely ruined! (...) " Our approach to multiculturalism, which boils down to the call 'let's live with each other now and be happy,' has failed, a complete failure."
Justifying the disintegration of Yugoslavia, the participants in that disintegration were persuading the world that living together was impossible, that Yugoslavia was an artificial creation etc. And now, what caused the disintegration of Yugoslavia with terrible consequences is not an unsolvable problem for Inzko. After 11 years of serving as High Representative, he offered to the UN Security Council members a plan that can be implemented by force and by way of further drastic violations of regulations - and stated:
"The international community must retain all the instruments at its disposal to address the potential threat, including the executive powers of the High Representative /Bonn powers/… We should also acknowledge that the pace of progress has slowed because we have decided too quickly to change our robust approach to BiH… to find a way to deal with them in a firmer way and at the same time move past them – also by finding new partners. … To conclude! The good news is that there are progressive forces in BiH with whom we can partner, who want to normalize their country. “
Why Bosnia and Herzegovina has never been a sovereign state, and why is it impossible to implement the proposed plan, the answers may be as follows:
If it is true - that in Islam all Muslims form one organism (ummat al-mu'mimin) and that they consider the civil-religious war in Bosnia and Herzegovina a jihad, or a war for the liberation of Muslim territory in the Balkans, then it is easier to understand Inzko's conclusion - that these developments in BiH have aroused "parties based in the Federation, especially Bosniak parties"…
In addition to numerous facts, the statement of Tayyip Erdogan points to that conclusion - that he visited Alija Izetbegović on October 18, 2003 in Sarajevo, just a day before his death, when the first President of BiH told him: "Tayyip, you are descendants of Sultan Fatih, I bequeath this territory to you, so keep it. (...) "the fact that Bosnia was bequeathed to Turkey manifests his civilizational horizon. Because, Alija saw and knew that Muslims only uniform, in communion and solidarity with each other , are able to realize their civilizational thought" stated Erdogan, as reported by the Turkish media. (…) “We shall of course never leave that. These are all monuments that are the crown of our civilization. That civilization erected them there as a reason for existence. From the 15th century onwards" , stated Erdogan (Klix.ba - 21.10.2017, https://www.klix.ba/vijesti/bih/erdogan-nikada-necemo-ostaviti-bih-koju-mi-je -alija-dao-u-amanet / 171021079 )
In his last speech, in order to convince the members of an UN Security Council in the accuracy of their suggestive conclusions, Inzko said:
"If you or I or anyone else stood up and said we wanted to split up our country, we would be called traitors, secessionists or seditionists, and possibly arrested."
Maybe it is true that in Inzko's homeland, Austria, it is also forbidden to play loud music, fish without permit etc. but we did not notice that his homeland bore the consequences of harming the Serbs:
- by recognition of the Independent State of Croatia at the Vienna Conference on April 22, 1941. by Austria;
- during the occupation and wars it waged on the territory of Serbia and BiH;Moreover, his homeland, as well as the countries that appointed him High Representative in BiH, were not bothered by the letter he had recently sent to the President of the Republic of Srpska's Parliament (January 27, 2021), accusing Serbs of collective responsibility and guilt .
We do not know whether Inzko is familiar with Art. 316 of the Austrian Criminal Code, which provides for a jail sentence of 6 months to 5 years for anyone who acts to forcibly change the constitution of a foreign state, or threatens to use force, or to separate an area belonging to a foreign state?
If we would be going a little further back in time, we might come across some more information, perhaps incorrect, such as:
- that Austria, in 1688, after the capture of Belgrade, expelled almost every Jew to the prison camp in Nikolsburg, in Moravia, and their synagogues and schools were destroyed; that in 1697, during the capture of Sarajevo, it took men, women and children naked and barefoot into slavery, to a concentration camp near the fortress in Osijek, that on May 9, 1945 out of 250,000 Austrians of Jewish origin, 65,000 were killed in concentration camps and the Austrian Mauthausen, while the rest were expelled or they fled ...
- that prosecutor Franjo Svara, in the case against Gavrilo Princip, accused 24 people of high treason, claiming that they wanted to secede BiH from Austria-Hungary by force and annex it to the Kingdom of Serbia, although Princip's defense counsel Rudolf Zistler pointed out that BiH was not a part of the monarchy, that the annexation had not been ratified by the Austrian and Hungarian parliaments, etc.
- that Gianni de Michelis gave an interview to a Roman newspaper (December 1990, published on February 4-8, 1994 in Politika) in which he stated: "Then Austria, more precisely the People's Party and its leader Buzek, entered the game. Buzek goes to Ljubljana where he meets Peterle and his Christian Democrats and invites them to secede: 'Go and ignore De Michelis, the EC, Austria will support you, and we will attract Germany as well'."
- that Alois Mock, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Austria, stated on June 25, 1991: "Serbia was not adequately punished for everything it caused in the former Yugoslavia " (N.BORBA, August 14, 1998) etc.
Had Inzko no confidence in the members of the UN Security Council, or for other reasons, but it seems to us that it would have been better if he had shared his findings, along with the evidence, with the members of the UN Security Council - so that they could draw their own conclusions by themselves. However, since he failed to do it, we list some unmentioned information that have had a decisive effect on the non-realization of the expected coexistence in BiH. We suggest to the UN Security Council Secretariat to check the validity of these information, or ask Inzko to check these and take position:
- ISLAMIC DECLARATION of Alija Izetbegovic in 1970, which states that "there is neither peace nor coexistence between, the Islamic faith 'and non-islamic social and political institutions", that the Islamic order can be achieved in countries where Muslims are a majority of the population;
- FATWA of the Council of Muftis in Sarajevo from July 3rd, 2015 year, which states: acts of terror, killing and expulsion of Muslims in the protected zone of Srebrenica and Žepa, and from the Islamic law, qualifies as genocide against Muslim Bosniaks; which obliges every Muslim man and woman to do whatever is in their power in order to eliminate the consequences of the Genocide…
- DECLARATION ON GENOCIDE AGAINST BOSNIAKS in Srebrenica, a UN protected zone, dated July 4, 2015 of the Parliament of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which states: strongly condemns the genocide against Bosniaks, Muslims in Srebrenica, planned by the Greater Serbia policy ; led by Serbian military and police forces under the direct aid of Serbia and Montenegro, which genocide was committed not only in Srebrenica, but also in: Brčko, Prijedor, Sanski Most, Ključ, Bijeljina and Bosanski Novi; The declaration mentions the collective responsibility of the Serbian people for recognizing that crimes were committed in the name of that people, including the crimes of genocide, and therefore the obligation for the Serbian people to face the consequences of the committed genocide…
- Engraved words on the central monument to Potočari: "In the name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate, we ask You, God Almighty, May sorrow become hope, LET REVENGE BE JUSTICE ..."
- PROGRAM DECLARATION of the VII SDA Congress dated September 14, 2019, concerning the commitment to achieving the main goal - building a sovereign, comprehensive state throughout the territory - which includes the abolishment of the entity Republic of Srpska etc.
- Table at the Sarajevo City Council with the text: "On this spot in Serbian villains in the night 25/26 8 1992 burned the National University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina ... " .
- STATEMENT of the German Federal Minister of Defense Rudolf Sharping of June 30, 1995 in the Bundestag - during the adoption of the decision that the German military forces, for the first time after the Second World War, can intervene outside Germany against the Serbs:
"Germany's past affects the minds of Serbian soldiers. Precisely with regard to Bosnia and Herzegovina, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that we are not dealing only with the atrocities that characterized the Second World War as a whole. Whoever remembers the historical experience, will see that the German action in Yugoslavia, and especially in Bosnia, occurred under very special circumstances. For example, the Nazi regime and the special leadership of the SS allied closely with Muslim Bosnians during World War II. An entire Waffen-SS division was formed from them, exclusively for the purpose of fighting the Serbian partisans . Taking advantage of the traditional hatred of Muslims towards Christian Serbs, who made up a large mass of Tito's partisans, the Waffen-SS was able to quickly recruit thousands of young Muslims, ' writes the author of the standard paper on the Waffen-SS, the American historian Stein. The atrocities committed by 'great Bosniaks' - that is the formulation of Heinrich Himmler - even confused those who otherwise had few objections to the brutality. In that context, it may be a little more understandable why the risk of German participation in the memory of the Serbian people is considered so great. .. “. (https://dip21.bundestag.de/dip21/btp/13/13048.pdf ).
Unlike Inzko, who is obsessed with Serbs, the Croatian President Grabar pointed out in 2016 - that we should face the fact that thousands of fighters of the so-called Islamic State are returning to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The French President Macron was also afraid of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stating in November 2019 : "(...) if you are worried about this region, the main issue is not Northern Macedonia or Albania, but Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is a time bomb that is ticking right next to Croatia and facing the problem of the return of jihadists” .
- Well experienced Kissinger, in a keynote address before the Foreign Political Committee of the US Senate in July 1995, stated: "In my opinion, Bosnia was never supposed to be established as a state, because there has never been a Bosnian state before" .
- During the Bratislava Conference of the US State Department and the American Enterprise Research Institute held on April 28-30th, 2000, attended by the Prime Ministers, Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Ministers of Defense, and the Personal Representative of the NATO Commander-in-Chief, it was established: "The war against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia was waged to correct General Eisenhower's erroneous decision during World War II. ... and in order to compensate what was missed back in 1945 " .
- A recent statement by Bakir Izetbegović : " I would rather die today than allow genociders to rule part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Definitely. This I tell you today /20.04.2021./ For Ramadan " .
By the way, Serbs, that two million murdered victims in genocidal crimes of Austria, Germany, Croatia, Italy, etc., committed against them during the First and the Second World War, as well as during the violent breakup of Yugoslavia in 1991-95, and that had two anti-fascist movements, have their various rights guaranteed - for example: by the UN Charter (that they must not be discriminated against, i. e. they must not be "Untermenschen", that they have the right to a collective self-defense, even under special conditions - since they were victims of aggression ...) .
